GARDENS

(Photo: Aldo Brando)

More than 90 hectares returned to the environment in an exemplary process of natural succession, by the same elements of nature: rain, wind, bats, birds and different species of animals. Secondary forests converted to native wildlife habitat. Bamboo plantations and native timber. Organic coffee plantation bleak and wild banana species in the region.
BOTANICAL GARDEN

The botanical garden is comprised of 2 hectares surrounding the main facilities. There exists all manner of tropical plants. Anthuriums , Bromeliads , Heliconias and blossoming plants in general. Also present are many regional tree and shrub species. Also an arboretum of precious wood that seeks to re-establish itself in the native flora of the Aguaclara watershed. These were irrationally cleared by settlers and now barely survive small stands of forest. Some of these species include the Curly Cumin (Aniba Perutilis), Black Cedar (Juglans Neotropica), Oak (Quercus Humboldii Bonpland ) and other valuable varieties of  timber. The forest is a real natural botanical garden.
