BUTTERFLY FARM

 

The Reserve has a modern and technical butterfly farm for instructional use of colleges and universities and for the display of different native species of Lepidoptera that inhabit the region. Butterflies are the second largest insect group in the world and Colombia is the richest country in these species. Butterfly farming is a viable alternative for rational forest management. NIRVANA, in fulfilling its mission, will present a pedagogical mediator for the breeding of butterflies without a negative impact to the environment. This display should be a true gem for tourists and visitors.
